What's Happening With Twitch?
GTA RP is far closer to the quote unquote metaverse than anything that's happening in any of these major companies. The 2020 phenomenon where a bunch of big streamers got together and started playing this game called among us on twitch. With social distancing during covid there were a lot of people at home watching twitch so there was great amplification of this phenomenon. It went from basically nothing to like 500 million worldwide players and it was driven almost entirely by user generated content of popular twitch streamers.
