China's Foreign Policy Toward North Korea

Yun Sun is a senior fellow and co-director of the East Asia program at the Stimson Center in Washington, D.C., where she works on Chinese foreign policy. Yun: Xi Jinping and Tim Jong-un met five times in 2018 to 2019; they haven't met face-to-face since June of 2019. She says both countries are trying to maintain good relationship and portray positive trajectory of bad other relations. But it definitely still has a lot of catch up to do compared to what his father and his grandfather had with China historically, said Yun.
