How Much Are Your Fees on These Investments?

i got one of tho cold calls, and the guy was really nice, and he seemed like he was really good. And i remember he put me in a jinny may fund, which is a type of bond fund of mort es. He also didn't tell me the characteristics,. like the jenny may fun pays out not only dividends or interest payments., but it also pays out a portion of your principal investment. Did i get totally scammed on that? Not really. But did i know what i was investing in? Kind of i therefore, i learned from that experience. I need to understand what i'm investing in.
