The Healy Iyer: A Court of First Instance
Healy Iyer was a gathering together of citizens, Healy Iyer. But between kleisthenes and the middle of the 5th century some people say this is what really makes the Athenian system a full democracy. It's not one court, it's several courts of first instance, not just appeal. If you're active politically in the assembly, you can equally be active in the court at on same issue. You could come to a different decision from your original one, if you so wished.
