Don't Preach to the Choir

In a culture war, you cannot approach every situation as if you are having a one-on-one emotional conversation with a person who's seeking your counsel. Not every situation is like that. And I think that on a culture-wide level, the more aggressive approach is not only morally justified but it mobilizes your own side. The choir is in the church. They're the first ones who need to be on your side. If you don't even have the choir on your side, then you're in trouble. What they're saying is insane, nightmarish madness and we should throw the exact same strategy back at them"
