The Future of GPs
The Health Foundation did some work last year setting out the pressures on GP workforce. Part of the problem is that general practice, because of persistent underfunding, has become a lot less of an attractive place to work. And so especially over the next five years, before the long-term workforce plan kind of kicks into gear, the most important thing to focus on is retention and trying to make sure that the staff that we do have stay in general practice.
