The Importance of the Afterlife in the Hebrew Bible

A lot of Christians, history and today very much assume that this is a thoroughly biblical idea. But in the Jewish apocalyptic literature, you have descriptions of other worldly spaces. And wanting to avoid shul is not because I don't want to go to hell. It's because I have a lot more living to do.
