I think a lot of people in our world today and through the ages have felt powerless. The idea of just hearing the word magic for some people just awaken something spiritual to use your will to change your life or be self-disciplined. I feel like for you, you would probably think, okay, well, if someone's like working really hard and hustling and getting their goals done, that's just logic. Whereas a magical practitioner might say that was because of all the full moon spells that I did that bended my subconscious and my will to be self-star pointed focus on what I want to create and change.
