The Importance of Accepting Ancient Sources

I think just there's no reason to treat people in antiquity as being somehow less complicated than people in the contemporary presence. Everybody always has an agenda but that doesn't mean that we can't use it as a source right and saying that a source is biased is not a reason not to use the source because ultimately these are all the way that we've got so what can we say about the past? It makes the sources richer if we allow them to be trying to do other things successfully or otherwiseYeah yeah absolutely like I mean this is one of the things that we that we always struggle with in in our study of the past is the extent to which we can accept what our sources are telling us
