The Emotional Currency of the Bump Note
The author's daughter has been in third-party childcare. She says the environment is very different to that of a parent or someone with moderate responsibility for you. The children come home with bump notes, which have an "emotional currency," she writes. But when they are taken away from their parents it can lead to 'abandonment' and attachment problems.
