The Role of Physiology in Anger
Lisa Falconberry's new book attempts to explain the variability in how people express anger. She argues that our brain is a meaning maker, making meaning of signals and when it does this all the time as it's been all the time, that is the emotion. We're used to thinking of objects having features or properties, but actually an apple isn't red, she says. And most of the mental features that we have as humans that our brains construct, they construct in relationship to other signals.
