The Desire for Autonomy in the Workplace

A lot of this drive comes from a real desire for autonomy in the workplace. But it then runs into the brick wall when you realize that your life is still disciplined by capital, right? Like it's still disciplined by the market. So I talk about startups as being this kind of false escape from the kind of control that you're subject to in the workplace because it feels like there's this place where you can escape these shackles.
