I'm trying to answer the first question of when is the right time by laying out the pros and cons myself. And so I put out a tweet on Twitter and I got connected to a few people that have started 10 million plus dollar agency businesses. And my goal is to better understand when would they hire an operator for their business if they were to relaunch an agency. Then also I'm speaking to a group of venture studio founders. Half of the group has said, add inception, you should bring on your CEOSo they can truly help shape the vision and the product. But half have said post product market fit because you're not getting a business product market fit yourself as a venture studio
Alex Lieberman (@businessbarista) walks through his thought process of hiring a CEO for his content agency business. The issue is, is it too early to bring on a CEO? Hiring a CEO early on gives the opportunity to shape the mission and vision of the business. But hiring a CEO before product-market fit can put the business in a precarious situation.
