I think there was something in the book around the parasitism of desire. And particularly with queerness, like queer desire, when you're younger,. You know, I came out at 14 and that would have been 1998. Like this is one of the last years one could be kind of gay before the internet helped consolidate your identity. There should be other more forceful punctuation, like colons and M-dashes and periods in some cases.Like these all have to be commas because a comma is such like a milk toast punctuation mark. It doesn't make much of a statement; it doesn't declare much about it about itself. They're like good trust extends to the writer
