i love having geeky conversations with other faculty members of i b c to discover new aspects of the bible. Nobody quite knows what it means to be a rabbi just yet, because that has not crystallized. What we can see from all the evidence is that the rabbi was this itinerant teacher. Anybody who was schooled and trained in teaching the tora,. anybody who can explain it well in an educated way.
