The Difference Between Trading and Betting
When you're placing a bet, for me the definition is it's a punter. You're hoping that something is going to happen. So you're backing Liverpool to beat Man United. But when you're trading, you're managing the downside of that. If they aren't winning, I'm going to reduce my potential loss and sell my bet effectively and take a loss. A smaller loss than if you just chucked 100 pounds on Liverpool to win. With trading, you are constantly monitoring the market and you're not in it for the whole duration.
