I think everyone in that class today would never imagine the conversation we're having now. And quite frankly, neither did I. The 90s told us that we were post racial. There's an economic boom. Clinton playing the saxophone dubbed him quote unquote the first black president. That is another absurd thing to say Obama was was elected and race was a thing of the past. It felt like the experience I had in that classroom happened 30 years ago and not 10.
