Quintus cicero is thought to have written the guide for his brother, marcus tullius cicero. It's possible it was written by some one else later even knowing that cicero did get through. He gives advice on who to appeal to and why they're worth spending your time on. And he ends with this: Consider what city you are seeking before going down to the forum.
