The franchise thing will continue to pick up steam because there's enough money behind it. I think that independent business owners will do better with well rounded, kind of more holistic. You're going to have to be some, like I, and again, this comes from a sport coaching background. It's not just, hey, I'm gonna give you access to some travel workouts. And if that's problem solving when you're on the road, then that's what we do.

Pat Rigsby is a fitness business coach who has been in the industry since 1994.
Growing up in Portsmouth, Ohio, Pat never had an interest in entrepreneurship and wanted to be a Major League Baseball player.
And even though he had a season in professional baseball, he eventually realized playing the sport wasn’t his calling and set his sights on coaching.
Since starting that first fitness business, Pat has owned, or co-owned, over 32 businesses in the industry, from health clubs to local training facilities and franchises.
And now he runs the Ideal Business Academy, where he helps fitness pros create their own, unique ideal business.
