"You don't understand what I'm going through is probably the most relatable feeling of a human experience ever," she said. "We haven't lived in people's experiences, but if we only wrote things based on the things we knew, every book would have one character." She also directs her own show and says there are lots of lessons to be learned from writing as well as directing.
