The Library: A Social Art Project
I started the library in 2015 and basically it's a social art project that features 5,000 books. The way the library works is through a trading system where for every book you bring you get to take a book as long as written by a Black woman or Black non-binary writer. We have workshops, we have film screenings, we have performances, we have readings, and we also have these community conversations that are inspired by the books and the writers that are in the collection.
