i asked like a dozen or so people who specialize in health communication, specifically, why are we so bad at this? And you know, i think they there were a variety of responses. Everybody kind s their own theories. I would say that one, they were left trying to defend poor policies that didn't necessarily have a strong scientific basis. The other sort of distinct but related reason is sometimes their, they're basically trying to communicate their way out of a policy problem.
At least in schools.
