In the 60s and 70s, that's when I grew up. You could go to school and say I want halal meals. The school would provide you halal meals because they're just open about it. If a student didn't cut his hair he would be cained. By the end of the 70s, you could do basically what you want. So the transition was incredibly fast within 10 years. But some challenges were there, definitely.
