Are We Taking a Break From Our Selves?
I like the integration of this role enactment because it seems like, ok, we're taking a break from our own selves and creating something together that's kind of like unique and fun as separate individuals. The authors also mention that specifically, as you're aging too, that will also change it, that you might have a different relationship to the sexual roles as you get older,. And so just, again, being aware of it, being able to step outside of it, while also respecting what's going on, i think as is really important.
