Ice baths are supposed to help you recover quicker, whether it's an ice bath or we can even dive into cryotherapy. The idea was to recover more quickly after the hard work is to feel better the next day. A study in 2006 in Japan found that people who took regular ice baths after their workouts ended up several months later, making smaller gains in smaller fitness gains.
