The US is the largest population of Jews outside Israel. American politics, obviously because of those connections to the Jewish diaspora has always been a key ally of Israel for both geostrategic reasons and ideological reasons. I do wonder how much this reverberates in US politics, how much it accelerates the already sort of increasingly conservative right-wing partisan valence of Israel support go further.
