Abortion is going to become illegal in the 13 states that have trige laws. In a small number of states, there are no exceptions for pregnancies that arise as a result of rape and incest. The effect of having different states with different laws basically means that the heavy burden will fall on low income women who already have very poor access to health care. And one of the most perverse effects arose that this will have the effect of pushing more abortions later into pregnancy,. where they become more dangerous and complicated and traumatic.
The Supreme Court ruling has
convulsed the country; passing the question of abortion rights to the states will divide America yet further. We ask what it means for the court to go so plainly
against public opinion, examine the
