Using a Gateway Class in a Web Application
The new API includes the gateway class, route resources and routs. These objects will be bundled with implementations so most users won't need to know about them. The vast majority of logic in our system now lies on routes rather than gateways. This means that if you want to configure how traffic should be routed, route resources are for you.
