The Effect of External Factors on YouTube's Retention
I have been given the impression that this has something has changed in YouTube. The external factors are mattering less than they may have in the past. And it's much more a game of seeing what the retention is very quickly. That I'm sure pushes a lot of people into the video, which I assume inflates it in the algorithm anyway.
