The Recipe of Every One Seeking Peace

There is something we can reon, to let one person decide for all of us what counts as peace. And then this is the magic of the arrangement. It's mechanical, but it's almost alchemical. Its turning something that doesn't exist into gold. We've agreed to take that definition as our definition. Then if we don't like it, say that person decides on a definition of peace that feels to us, as an individual, like it risks the end of our life. The person who has the power can force everyone else to force us to play by the rules. That how it works, and that, for hobbs, was the only way to achieve peace.
