The Imperialist View of the World

I was very taken by your observation that the imperialist outlook endures in, there's a way in which people in France still believe in the spiritual superiority of the West. So the crusade of inclusion is a kind of white man's burden all over again. In this case, you know, disguised as a multicultural project. But that ambition that defines the mission of the country cannot but be compared with its predecessor. It's a natural carrying moment. I certainly think reflecting on my own upbringing, it's only when I went to other countries that I realized how expensive it was there.
