E was sitting in an adjacent room, and he heard the sound of his brother coming in. The motor was still running when there was a blast and the blew out. He got to his feet and asked his wife where the children and then went outside and saw,. you know, a dead nephew, and badly wounded in the face and tore so by shrapnel. And he saw another kid who was dead, and lot of fire and smoke; that's when the neighbors came and pulled him out of there.
A US drone strike in Afghanistan was meant to take out an ISIS-K target. Reporting on the ground shows an aid worker and several children were killed. Matthieu Aikins, reporter at the New York Times, explains from Kabul.
