Engineering Values - What's Important?

The goal for engineering values is to create a shared mind set. It doesn't mean that everything or every one needs to be uniformed, right? I think the exact opposite itis true. If you have meaning for values, then those values create a very safe environment in which opposing thoughts can be more openly discussed an invest ted. When engineering values are not clear, it's risky to discuss new ideas and being open minded.
