CRISPR-Based Therapy for Sickle Cell Disease
The first US patient to receive a CRISPR-based therapy for her sickle cell disease is Victoria Gray. She's showing that this type of approach can actually work quite well in terms of treating a disease at its source. And I think it just paves the way for future applications of this technology, as well.
