The King's Response to Haman
We are being sold into death. And what are they getting? All our possessions, the spoils of war, a war were not allowed to fight. But it's worse than this. What is being what's about to happen to us, is worse than slavery,. Because at least slaves are sold alive. We are being sell into death. The queen answers in verse ixthe adversary and enemy is this wicked haman. This is the moment where the plot shifts. Haman goes dropping off the edge of this roller coaster. He has gone from one whom the king honours to the public enemy number one. A dramatic plot reversal.
