i was introduced to this company via a cold emal from a recruiter. Once it worked at least once in my personal experience, therefore it can work again. On his last company, the recruiting team actually came to the engineers and said, hey, would you please write these emails instead of us? Because we've found that when engineers write these messages, they get better response rates than when recruiters write them. i think people like it better when their peer engineers reach out to them. Also, the bar is low for authenticity. You write a pretty inauthentic engineer to engineer cold email, it's probably not going to say, hey, do you want to move across the country
