The Circle of Fourths Is a Very Foundational Thing to Music Theory That Moves in Order of Fourths

The chord progression is following something called the circle of fourths, or the circle of fifths. It takes you from one cord to the next, to the next to the next in a big circle that takes you through all 12 notes. And it kind of just keeps going and going and going in its very cyclical so what elton is doing, obviously, is he's not playing the entire circle ofFourths. He's playing just a few of them.
