The Foundation Myth of Carthage

The story of Carthage began with the Tyrion king, Matan, who passed away in 831 BC. The Greco-Roman historian Virgil backdated the foundation of Carthage to the time of the Trojan War. Daito was spared because she successfully convinced her brother that she bore him no ill will over his actions and was not a threat to his rule. But alas, like most myths from the ancient world, there is also another ending: this one involves the destruction of Carthage by Nius (a Trojan prince)
