CHAPTER

Is There a Heterogeneity in the Scientific Community?

i'm suspicious that, you know, i don't think we're at the boundaries or the limits of any of those things any time soon. There is a tendency among non scientists to think of the scientific community as much more monolithic than it is. I mean, since we were both students, write a the sciences become much more collaborative. Even astrophysics and cosmology, that didn't used to be in our run by collaborations, hundreds of peoplea large projects are now that it's become big science. And with that comes a certain kind of risk overseness. It depends also, obviously, on the content of the idea, the significance of the person who proposes it.
