The Politics of Discipline in Public Schools
I think especially of public schools and how sort of bare bones so many of them are like in elementary school, I went to a school where the teacher was straight up like we're out of school supplies. So therein lies the challenge with sort of thinking about schooling at scale in this country. We need to do better by particular subgroups of children, specifically black and brown children,. It takes a lot of political will to do this work well.
