Axeological, strong long termism is likely to be true by a large margin. It will tend to make you more favourably inclined to ones that focus on really bad future outcomes. The best things you could do are not just a tiny bit better than the best short termous motivated things you can do. They'reactually a lot better, maybe many orders of magnitude better. And there just aren't that many non consequentialist theories that are willing to say that.
