McBride was sent out to do a story about a priest in the South end of Boston. A woman called him names and told him, "I don't care where you are," he says. The man turned out to be Father Walgreens; they were friends for years. McBride: She taught me that while something terrible can happen, just stay with it. And something beautiful will happen.
