The FDA Approval of a Drug Used for Medication Abortion

MIFA-Pristone is one of the two drugs commonly used for medication abortion in the US. Anti-abortion advocates have been trying to get it off the market unsuccessfully for 20 years. A judge named Matthew Kasmeric, who is a Trump appointee and worked in the Christian conservative legal advocacy space, is having a hearing on the lawsuit midweek. The expectation is that there's a real possibility he could rule that the FDA's approval of MIFA- Pristone over 20 years ago was invalid.
