The Disadvantages of Jean DuBarre
The decision to show Jean DuBarre was a great way to get attention, but does I think underscore very different social moors about gender dynamics in France versus the US? I'd have a hard time seeing Sundance showing that movie. And it was just hilarious to see all of the American press just go completely crazy and like pulling their hair out of this guy is up there like denouncing Hollywood and everything. Yet he can't get hired in Hollywood. They do not want him.
