Using Entanglement to Transmit Information From One Location to Another

In the 80s scientists and computer scientists started wondering whether these properties perhaps were like extra knobs that we could harness to do something new. One of Anton Zylinger's experiments was using this property of entanglement of having connected but separate photons in order to transfer information from one place to another. This is what's called quantum teleportation - it's not instant but it does use this property of connected particles or entangled particles that we've been discussing. And yeah, Zylinger’s experiments were groundbreaking because they established that yes you could actually do this which was kind of wild and magical but now it's grown into this huge field for developing a whole new type of quantum internet.
