The Different Types of Epithelial Cells

Squamous, cuboidal and columnar cells can be further classified into one of two groups. This just means that you either have one layer which is simple or many layers. Stratified tissues obviously provide more protection but they're going to require more nutrients in some of the support. Connective tissues are particularly diverse as you'll see when I describe them in more detail.
