In Genesis 1 through 11, we've established an idea which is that there are two rulers in God's creation. And then you get this narrative of a snake who is a beast of the garden land who is not happy with this setup. It seems to kind of know about the way God works and thinks. He deceives the humans to not want to partner with God. Particularly to take what will lead them to death and present it as the way to life and liberation and power. Yeah. You can become Elohim.
