The assyrians were doing battle with a king arame, ruling over a kingdom of uratu. Arame may have emerged from or subjugated the nire tribes in this area. The name uratu refers to the name that the assyrians gave to this king. An could relate to the mighty volcanic mount ararat, which stands tall in these lands and sits on modern turkish lands. This area and the uratu kingdom are an important part of the armenian national historical story.
