The Six Stages of Mental Modeling
We need to relearn or polish the art of counterfactual thinking. Most new ideas fail, but they create sparks which are clues to other moves we may make on the mental model. The fifth of the six stages doesn't sound like imagination, but a special type of imagination applies to it. And then the sixth stage just seems very hard for companies, which is renewal or self disruption.
