Movie Review: Turning Red

The movie is about a young woman who turns into a red panda and then her mother like reveals that they all the women in their family turn into red pandas when they like, you know, become adolescents. It's also sort of about how do you confront trauma even haired in sometimes or just the weight of your family's legacy on your shoulders. And where this movie succeeds is that it has this incredible scope to it where it's really hyper focused on the family. The stakes never get bigger than like our house is breaking. But if Louisa can't lift things anymore, then the world will end, right?
